MISSION:  

Locally, the mission of the Pennsylvania Department of Education is to assist the:

• General Assembly
• Governor
• Secretary of Education and
  
• Pennsylvania educators

in providing for the maintenance and support of a thorough and efficient system of education.

Specifically, the mission is to lead and serve the educational community to enable each individual to grow into an:

• inspired
• productive
• fulfilled 
• lifelong learner
  

Share the above mission with anyone outside of the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and they might think this mission is a bunch of crock!

Similar to a soldier, everything at JUST MATH is about the mission. 

As discussed in "Bounce - The Art of Turning Tough Times into Triumph,"

To a soldier, sometimes a mission is that "...they are going to take X hill by 0900 hours and hold it." 

To a soldier, a mission is something specific, something vital.

We at JUST MATH aren't trying to hurt anyone's feelings, but the local mission cited above doesn't tell anyone jack about what they ought to be doing.

We at JUST MATH know which hill we are going to take:

We are going to help learners and education providers meet and exceed the performance standards on the CCSS and Keystone exams and

We at JUST MATH know how we are going to take our hill:

We are going to

• Design
• Deliver and
• Facilitate effective and efficient implementation of
  

custom made support systems for (and with) education providers that are aligned to the CCSS and the Keystone Exams.

We took the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) hill and our work lead consultant's work was cited in a federal grant application.
